This cool gray colored fitting is mounted through a pre-drilled hole in the skimmer's filter bay on blue, jade & silver colored 1993-current Hot spring spas. Its purpose is to provide an additional water inlet to the filters in the unlikely event of the floating skimmer weir becoming obstructed.
